The error happened when I tried to open a remote file from a session that had not been used for, let's say 2.5 hours. After the error, the messate "The Host is not communicating for more than 15 seconds. Stil waiting ….." was presented, the automatic reconnection worked, but still same error was presented.
After restart, operation returned to normal

I know how to reproduce the problem or the problem happens frequently enough. I wish to be contacted by the WinSCP team to help resolving the problem.

The following events/actions are ordered with the most recent being listed first. The application is in a state such that every time I click the "New Session" tab the error occurs. However, other functions seem to work.

Clicked on "New Session" tab. There were already 6 sessions open at the time.

Very shortly before the error occurred I was looking at various options and preferences to see if there was a way to have the IP address of the remote machine display on the status bar or some other place, or even view session properties to see the address. I didn't see a way to do this, so I clicked on the "New Session" tab.

Opened a local file using Notepad++ (v7.5.6, 64-bit), and saved it to a different name. Edited the newly created file and saved it. The file is less than 1 KB.

Before the error occurred I saw a message about not being able to reconnect to a machine. This was expected because the machine's IP address had been changed the day before.
