Hi ,

I am making a script file from my application machine . we have a db server at linux and we have a .dmp back up file at linux machine .i need to make them a zip of that dmp file from that batch script .
I need a command that run from windows machine and make the zip the file at linux machine .

well, i found problem of freezing - filename in "".

when i'm running it works perfect
unzip zipfile -x -o

may be anoter problem is in "." (for current directory), i'll check it tonight

What error?

when i'm trying to run it in terminal (unzip "zipfile" -x -o ".") i have 15 sec timeout, but files from zip unpacked...

Please enable logging and check the log file. If it does not help you, post the log file.

i have a problem with command for unzip. can anyone help me?

there is unzip on server of my hoster with next commands 

UnZip 5.50 of 17 February 2002, by Info-ZIP.  Maintained by C. Spieler.  Send

bug reports to the authors at [email protected]; see README for details.

Usage: unzip [-Z] [-opts[modifiers]] file[.zip] [list] [-x xlist] [-d exdir]

   Default action is to extract files in list, except those in xlist, to exdir;

   file[.zip] may be a wildcard.  -Z => ZipInfo mode ("unzip -Z" for usage).

   -p  extract files to pipe, no messages     -l  list files (short format)

   -f  freshen existing files, create none    -t  test compressed archive data

   -u  update files, create if necessary      -z  display archive comment

   -x  exclude files that follow (in xlist)   -d  extract files into exdir

 modifiers:                                   -q  quiet mode (-qq => quieter)

   -n  never overwrite existing files         -a  auto-convert any text files

   -o  overwrite files WITHOUT prompting      -aa treat ALL files as text

   -j  junk paths (do not make directories)   -v  be verbose/print version info

   -C  match filenames case-insensitively     -L  make (some) names lowercase

   -X  restore UID/GID info                   -V  retain VMS version numbers

                                              -M  pipe through "more" pager

 Examples (see unzip.txt for more info):

   unzip data1 -x joe   => extract all files except joe from zipfile data1.zip

   unzip -p foo | more  => send contents of foo.zip via pipe into program more

   unzip -fo foo ReadMe => quietly replace existing ReadMe if archive file newer


i'm trying to make next custom command
unzip "!" -x -o "!?&Extract to:?.!"

but WinSCP tell me about error in when i'm trying to run it
unzip "!" -x -o "."

What should the command do exactly?

I havent been able to find the window where I can respond to requests from the server.

You can use only commands that need no response.

Keep in mind that I can use only commands that works on every *nix platform. Otherwise I would face hundreds of bug reports, what I do not want :-) In fact there is only few command I can use. I would not even dare to add the "unzip" command, because I think that even unzip is not supported everywhere.

I have tried to do through the command line, Command window and runing the recommended UNZIP custom Command, but I get a "Host has not answered for more than 15 seconds" I end up aborting.

I havent been able to find the window where I can respond to requests from the server.
