It seems like you assume that the servers send some kind of notification about "change in file count or size". They do not.

All WinSCP can do it to refresh the panel periodically.

I connected to a pc via FTP and noticed that folder you stay in are not refreshed unless you press the refresh button (or shortcut). I think it would be a great QoL-Improvement if you could add an option in the setting to toggle a auto refresh as soon as there is a change in file count or size. I'm open to discuss this topic maybe I was too lazy to search the option.

Please let me know if this is a idea I stumbled upon or just didn't find!
